How to improve the Start to our Mornings

Since everyone is an individual there is no one plan that works for all of us. The key here is to tune into ourselves and understand what benefits us best.
Some of us need to eat breakfast and others do best with simple hydration with water and then a cup of our favorite hot beverage. Some of us jump out of bed ready for the day, and others need time in bed to get ready to 'meet the world'.
What has been shown to benefit all of us are the following:
1) Allow enough hours to sleep. The body, brain and spirit need to time to detox and regenerate.
2) Each night write (with pen and paper) your gratitude(s) for the day. They can be as simple as; loving your hairstyle, enjoying the company of a colleague, as intense as having a deeply connecting interaction with a loved one, or as motivating as a spectacular win at work.
3) Take some form of magnesium before bedtime, whether in pill or powder form; or use a magnesium spray which is topical. Because magnesium has now been depleted in our soils it is hard to come by in our foods, even if we eat healthily. Magnesium has been proven to be essential in heart and brain health as well as calming muscle pain and relaxing our minds and bodies (www.ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Magnesium-HealthProfessional/). In my experience with my personal health path and clients that I guide, I have found that we initially often need more magnesium than recommended in the RDA guide.
